Blood Fest (2018)

Fans flock to a festival celebrating the most iconic horror movies, only to discover that the charismatic showman behind the event has a diabolical agenda. As festival attendees start dying off, three teenagers - more schooled in horror-film cliches than practical knowledge about neutralizing psycho killers - must band together and battle through various madmen and monstrosities to survive. REVIEW: Blood Fest is a new horror movie brought to us by Rooster Teeth of Red vs Blue fame, that follows a group of friends that attend a horror convention, only to have the entire thing be a trap set by a madman to kill as many people as possible in as many different horror settings as possible. B-Movie Round Up #1

Just a few really quick, really short, thoughts on some B-Movies I’ve watched lately that I never did reviews for, for one reason or another (lack of time, not in the mood to do one, don’t have much to say, etc). A frustrated, angst-ridden teenage girl awakens something in the woods when she naively performs an occult ritual to evoke a witch to kill her mother.  REVIEW: I loved the way Pyewacket was filmed, The acting was superb, and while the story is a massive slowburn, it’s an interesting story all the same, with a couple genuinely creepy moments. However, it’s a bit too much of a slowburn and it never really gets crazy enough in the end to make up for it.
